In 2002, I was invited to participate in a reading at PS1-Moma associated with “Mexico City: An Exhibition about the Exchange Rates of Bodies and Values”. For the reading I prepared some written pieces and the following video.
My intention was too create a political videopoem, charged with Mexican dark humor, on the relationship between experimentalism, voice, war and North American imperialism.
For the next years, I would use this video in other readings. It was usually received with mixed feelings. I hope people enjoy it a bit more now. But you never know.
